Personal Profile – Teddy Chui

Born in Hong Kong in 1958, emigrated to Winnipeg Manitoba Canada in the late 1970s and graduated from the University of Manitoba with Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986. Successively served as a supervisor in the market development and sales departments of multiple enterprises, worked at Canada Wrap Ltd. and Polytech Industries Ltd. in Manitoba, laying a modest foundation in commodity packaging and printing.

Repatriated to Hong Kong in the mid-1990s and entered the label and sticker printing industry. In 2002, acquired Professional Diploma in Industrial Management (Print Media) from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Social Services

1998 Graphic Arts Association of Hong Kong engaged as member , elected as Executive Committee Member for the 10th term (2001-02), Standing Committee Member (Honorary Treasurer) for the 11th term (2003 – 04), First Vice Chairman for the 12th term (2005-06), and Chairman for the 16th and 17th terms (2013-16). After completed the term in 2017, the sixth Honorary Chairman of the Association was granted

  • 2000 – 2014 Shenzhen Federation of Overseas Chinese Merchants, concurrently elected as Supervisor, responsible for supervising the operations of the board of directors, Association staff and finance.
  • 2005 – present, Pearl River Delta Council under the Federation of Hong Kong Industries Executive Committee Member (Shenzhen Chapter) participating in the Association’s liaison, consultation and negotiation work with local governments and Hong Kong-funded enterprises, reflecting the business conditions of Hong Kong merchants in the mainland and uniting the strength of enterprises in China. Appointed as Vice Chairman of the Membership Liaison Committee of FHKI from 2017 to 2021.
  • 2012 – 2022 Hong Kong Electrical Appliance Industries Association concurrently held the post of Head of the Social and Economic Affairs Committee.
  • 2012 – 2018 Institute of Print Media Professionals (IPP) Executive Committee Member
  • 2015 – 2026 Hong Kong Federation of Innovation and Technology and Manufacturing Industries (FITMI), Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 2016 Innovation and Technology Excellence Awards. Elected as Deputy Chairman from 2017 to 2027, concurrently held the positions of Head of the Communications and Promotion Committee as well as Editor-in-Chief of the Association Journal from 2019 to 2021. Since 2023, concurrently serving as Head of the Membership Affairs Committee until 2027.
