Personal Profile – Teddy Chui

Born in Hong Kong in 1958, emigrated to Winnipeg Manitoba Canada in the late 1970s and graduated from the University of Manitoba with Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986. Successively served as a supervisor in the market development and sales departments of multiple enterprises, worked at Canada Wrap Ltd. and Polytech Industries Ltd. in Manitoba, laying a modest foundation in commodity packaging and printing.

Repatriated to Hong Kong in the mid-1990s and entered the label and sticker printing industry. In 2002, acquired Professional Diploma in Industrial Management (Print Media) from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

1. Personal circumstances

Ho Wai Hung, Ken, ancestral home in Wanjiang Dafen, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, was born in January 1969. He immigrated to Hong Kong with his parents in the early 80s and graduated from Queen Brighton University in July 2012 with a master’s degree in business administration.

2. Working experience

After graduated from university, he did overseas trade in Hong Kong until February 2002. He has been traveling back and forth between Guangdong and Hong Kong afterwards, and engaged in the development of four main sectors, one health, environmental protection, animation and IT.

Ken is innovative and creative. With rich experience in international trade and production process management in Hong Kong for more than 30 years, he leads the company to develop different market differentiated products with nearly 1,000 patents. Combining the markets and utilizing the characteristics of the newly developed products and brands, he creates novel derivative products. For example, Ken created a large number of different products for “Babo Panda” and “WuKong”. He led the Ministry of Culture of the National Propaganda Department to become the first to take the national comic IP brand abroad to the Tokyo International Animation Festival in 2010, which received the attention of many international media and won many praises and awards in China. At present, he is leading a more powerful and elite team to develop independent brands in four main sectors, one health, environmental protection, animation and IT, comprehensively, creating products with updated elements to create a new era in the 21st century.
